我們為何而戰

洛杉磯之行，內心充滿着興𡚒和感慨,親自和許多華裔政界人士,工商界先進及社區領袖們見面交流,我們華亞裔對美國之贡獻如此重大。

回憶七十年代我們在家人之祝福下，初次踏上這塊土地,人生地不熟,我們大家追求的是美國夢。今天我再次來到加州親眼看見了華人企業家在金融,地產,高科技,食品加工,醫療,以及出任市長,國會議員者比比皆是。他們都是經過數十年之奮鬥而獲得之成就。

今天美國政局及世界情勢在變化中，在中美關係遭遇困難之時，一股反華之歪風不斷在形成中，我們身為華裔美人之一份，正在對我們之未來成為一項挑戰。

我們必須大聲呼喊出華裔對這個國家之貢獻是有目共睹，為了維護我們自己之權益，必須大家團結起來向不公平不合理挑戰。

我們為何而戰,我們為了自己之生存和下一代之發展而戰，這裡是我們的家，是我們世代永居之土地，希望大家同舟共濟，繼續努力向前。

 Why Do We Fight?

The trip to Los Angeles 

was full of excitement and emotion. I personally met and communicated with many Chinese American politicians and community leaders. They have made such  great contributions to the nation since poorer times.

Recalling the 1970‘s, our family was blessed when we first stepped onto this land. We were not familiar with it. What we pursued was the American Dream. Today when I came to California again and saw so many Chinese American entrepreneurs in banking, real estate, high-tech, food processing and medical care, as well as government officials, including mayors and congressmen and women, I was so impressed that they are all still achieving after decades of struggles.

Today the political situation is changing very rapidly. Some anti-Chinese winds are constantly forming. 

We must shout out that the contributions of the Chinese Americans to this country have been established and are  obvious to all. In order to protect our own rights and interests, we must unite to challenge all injustices and unreasonableness.

What do we fight for? We fight for our own survival and the next generation because this is our land and our home.
