 我們正在搭建國際交流平台

成立已有二十二年的美南國際貿易中心籌辦的第一屆休斯敦國際博覽會即將於下週三，十月三十日在市中心希爾敦大酒店揭幕，將有來自聯邦,市政府,各國駐休斯總領事外交代表及工商人士共數百人参加，將就目前如何加強文化經濟及科技交流舉行一次盛會。

這次大會我要感謝美南新聞集團之全體同仁及所有支助之工商界人士表示十二萬分之謝忱,我心中更有無限之感慨。

回想當年我和妻來到德州小石油小鎮貝蒙市,得到州立拉馬大學之免學費待遇完成了碩士學位，在一個傾盆大雨之夜晚來到休斯敦栖身於一間破舊之公寓，開始了我們尋求美國夢之艱辛歴程。

就如成千上萬的留學生一樣,我們都肩負着家人父母之熱烈期望,來到這塊土地打拼. 數十年歲月我們從留學生新僑變成了老僑，許多人都有了許多成就,更把青春奉獻給了這塊土地。

多年來,我們在新聞傳播及金融事業上不斷得到大家之支持和鼓勵,在此同時我們共同努力搭建休斯敦國際舞台,這是大家共同之驕傲和貢獻。

   We Are Building The International Stage

The first Houston International Expo that is being planned by the International Trade Center, which has been established for 22 years, will be unveiled at the Hilton America Hotel next Wednesday. Hundreds of guests from federal, city and diplomatic missions along with business and community leaders, will participate. This event will address how we can strengthen the economic, cultural, and scientific issues that we all face today.

I would like to thank all of my colleagues and all of our sponsors for making this event happen. From the bottom of my heart, I feel very touched and grateful.

I recall the years when my wife and I first came to Beaumont, texas, an oil town in southwest Texas, and completed our master degree education with free tuition scholarships. On a downpouring rainy night we drove to Houston and started the search for our American Dream.

Just like many international students, we came to 

this country to work hard, and with the warm expectations of our families, many of us made very outstanding achievements and devoted our youth to this land.

We are so grateful that over the past several years we have been able to build a news media business and an international stage in Houston. We want to share this pride and contribution with all of you.
