我們為自己之権益奮戰到底

上週六上午國際貿易中心大廳聚集了眾多之華裔同胞們，由楊德清先生主持的亞裔選舉聯盟,美國華人消費者協會聯合休斯敦知青聯誼會,華夏學人協會等社團舉辦“消費者杈益及美國選舉制度”座談會。

會中分別探討我們應該如何保障自己之權益,在法律制度之保護下,必須盡力爭取。

我們非常高興近年來生活在美國之華裔已經對美國政治有了重大改變,並且在積極透過各種組織來表達自己之意見。

我在會中呼籲大家共同建造一支強大之航母,每個人奉獻自己之才能和智慧,集中力量爭取更多之共同利益。我們相信自掃門前雪之時代已經過去了，今天我們面對前所未有之挑戰，團結才有力量。

We Will Fight To The End For Our Rights And Interests

Last Saturday many Chinese American community leaders gathered in the hall of the International Trade Center for a critical dialogue. Chaired by Derek Yang, the Chinese Consumer Association and the Houston Chinese Intellectual Association sponsored a symposium titled, "Consumer Benefit and American Election System."

During the meeting we discussed how we should best protect our rights and interests. The general consensus was that we need to use the protection of the existing legal system and that we must try with our strongest efforts to fight for equal justice under the law.
We are so very happy that in recent years the Chinese Americans living in this land have made significant contributions toward changing the American political landscape and are still actively engaged in expressing their opinions through many organizations.

In the meeting, I called on everyone to jointly build a powerful 'aircraft carrier,' of determination and encouraged everyone to devote their talents and wisdom together to focus on our common interests. Today we face an unprecedented challenge, and only in unity can we build our strength to meet the challenge.
