----- 我們對經濟繁榮之努力和貢獻

美南新聞集團屬下之國際貿易中心在慶祝成立二十二週年之際，我們正在積極籌辦一項國際性之聚會——第一屆休斯敦國際博覽會,並將於十月三十日至十一月一日展開，這將是我們對德州休斯敦促進全球外交經貿及文化交流之創舉，也是華亞裔社區對國家之重要貢獻。

此次大會得到休斯敦市長、聯邦議員、國務院駐美南代表處、美國商務部、進出口銀行、中小企業局等政府機構及美國银行和各商家之支持,將就當前所面臨之各項經濟及文化議題提出分組討論,也有來自非洲亞洲之代表共同參加。

為了正式宣告博覧會之來臨，我們將於十月九日舉行吹風會,將對各界說明此次大含籌備情況，希望大家踴躍參加此一盛會。

我在日前歡迎和表揚德州潮州會館理事們的招待會上表示,今天諸位之勤奮努力得到豐碩成就，我們要感恩這塊土地給予我們的機會,也要對我們的社區和國家作出貢獻,這是我們的責任也是份榮幸。

First Annual Houston International Expo

--Our Efforts And Contribution To Economic Prosperity

On the occasion of celebrating the 22nd anniversary of its establishment , the International Trade Center is actively planning an international gathering--the First Houston International Expo, which will be held from October 30th to November 1st of this year. Many diplomatic, cultural and business leaders will be invited to attend. This important international event also represents the many contributions of the Asian-American community to our city and state.

With the support of many local and federal agencies, the Expo will hold various economic, cultural and trade meetings with many of the delegates from Africa and Asia.

In order to announce the arrival of the Expo, we will hold a kick-off party on October 9 at our host Larry Wong's residence.

A few days ago when we hosted the reception for the Texas Chaozhuo Association, I said that, "You have made fruitful achievements for your hard work." Today, we also should be very grateful for the opportunity given to us by this great country. This is our response to both honor and to give back to our community and the nation.
