聯合國大會在紐約召開

為了維護世界和平而在戰後成立的聯合國總部,近七十多年來這𠆤世界組織之毀譽參半，今天在紐約總部正式開啟第七十九屆大會。

美國總統拜登今天上午在聯合國發表他在任最後一次演說,他表示成為總統是他畢生之榮耀。

將近一百四十個國家元首出席了大會開幕式，除了表達本國關心事項之外,多半集中在中東以色列及俄烏戰事。就在上週聯合國安理會壓倒性通過要求以色列在十二𠆤月內撤離巴勒斯坦地區、以色列及巴勒斯坦領袖也將在會上發表演說。

將近二百𠆤聯合國會員中,彼此意見分歧，在解決世界各地之戰爭方面， 安理會都使不上力，在其屬下之世界衞生組織在疫情時發揮了極大作用。

今天世界勢力已經發生極大變化,中美關係之惡化充分表現在聯合國會員大會上，世界糾紛要靠聯合國來解決是非常困難之事。但是我們仍然需要這個世界組織,它至少是個政治舞臺,讓世界領袖有表演之機會。

The UN General Assembly Opened In New York

The United Nations headquarters, which was established after WWII, tries to maintain peace for the world. Today, the 79th General Assembly opened in New York.

President Biden made his last speech this morning and said that becoming President of the United States was the glory of his life.

More than 140 heads of state attended the meeting. In the run-up to the annual gathering, UN members voted overwhelmingly last week to demand that Israel end its occupation of Palestinian territories within 12 months.

Today, there have been great changes in the world, and the deterioration of the Sino-U.S. relationship is fully reflected in the United Nations' actions.

But we still need the world organization to provide a stage for all the leaders.
