天堂变地狱

一场毁灭性之大火吞噬了一万多楝民宅和标誌性之建筑，洛杉磯近郊位於太平洋帕利塞德海岸及附近乡镇地区自上週三开始强风烈火烧毁了一万七千英亩的土地。

由於受强风影响，多处火情同时发生，消防资源也捉襟见肘,许多地方之自来水已经乾涸,只有眼看火势蔓延。

随着城市之建设向荒野地区蔓延,加上气候之变化致使消防用水无法满足紧急用於救灾之用水，当地官员表示许多水管老旧不堪，甚至超过百年歷史。

拜登总统已经下令对灾区进行紧急援助,对於此次之大火表示高度之关切 ，至今已有十人死亡,洛杉磯正䧟入紧张情势。这塲有史以来最大之火灾之一,严重爆露基础建设及水源之不足,美丽的天堂社区变成了炼狱之地。

Heaven Turns Into Hell

A devastating group of 

fires has engulfed more than 10,000 houses and landmark buildings since last Wednesday in the Los Angeles area. Strong winds and fires have burned 17,000 acres of Pacific Palisaides, a suburb of Los Angeles on the Pacific Coast along with other nearby townships.

Due to the impact of the strong winds, fires have occurred in many places at the same time. The tap water in many places has dried up, and the fire can only be seen as spreading.

With the spread of urban construction into many wilderness areas, coupled with climate change, firefighters' water resources cannot meet the emergency water needs for effective disaster relief. Local  officers said some water pipes are very old and many are more than one hundred years old.

President Biden has ordered emergency assistance to the disaster area. Ten people have died so far, and Los Angeles 

is still in a very tense situation. This is one of the largest fires in LA history, seriously exposing the lack of infrastructure and water resources, and the beautiful paradise community has become a place like purgatory.
