市长在决心解决市民民生问题

惠特曼市长上任以来為了实现他在竞选时之政见， 最近在市政问题之改善得到市民之喝采和讃誉。 首先是治安问题之改善， 对於警力及消防人员之整顿得到各方之支持， 尤其在改善市民民生问题上， 市长做出非常果断决定。 

近年来， 休斯敦自来水厰之管理真是荒腔走板， 许多住家和公司行号收到令人无法相信之水费账单， 而且是投诉无门 ，自来水主管部门根本没有门市部。

就在昨天， 市长已经正式宣佈所有市民之水费可以依照原来水费单之平均数支付， 并且会立即开设市民们之投数窗口 。

我们非常感谢市长之新法令，為市民解决水费单之困扰， 这更代表了市长对市民作出之果断决定。 

老实说， 我们对於市政府以往在建筑执照之发放， 治安之败坏甚為不满， 也寄望新市长、新实政来真正為人民服务。

The Mayor Is Determined To Solve The Citizens' Problems

Since taking office, Mayor Whitmire has already been applauded and praised by the public for the improvement on several municipal issues including the public safety issue on which the mayor made a very decisive and swift decision. 

In recent years the water department of the City of Houston issued unbelievably high bills to many customers and the department did not even open an office to deal with this pending issues. 

Just yesterday, the mayor officially announced that all citizens' water bills can be paid according to the average of their original water bills and the City will immediately open    a window for customer service to assist them. 

We are very grateful to the mayor    for the new decree to the citizens 

for solving the problem of the water bills which also clearly represents the mayor’s straightforward and decisive decision-making process to help all the citizens with their problems. 

There are many areas with problems and that includes the issuing of building permits from the City. We fully expect that the new mayor will take action to improve this situation in the near future.
